Our Executive Committee met in Layton April 12, at the Golden Corral and made plans for the up-coming Reunion at Camp Atoka, Aug. 22nd thru 24th.
We chose "Halloween" as the theme for this year. There will be a hike on Thursday evening, and of course, spooky stories! Jon and Melissa Burridge are responsible for this fun event.
Raeleen Andersen is furnishing Chili for Friday night. Friday night we will hold the "Auction" so bring your items for this event. Douglas Murphy and Tim Burridge will be the auctioneers. Raeleen, Cheri and Trudy will host the costume parade Friday night. Come prepared to join in the fun and enjoy the events; there will be "Trunk or Treat" so bring some treats for this.
Paula Mason is in charge of the Fish Pond. Bobbing for Apples will be great fun, also.
Dorothy Murphy, with help from Pauline Ransom and Douglas Murphy will decorate the Camp for Halloween. Dorothy has really been busy with all her plans and has been working hard to complete her assignment, already!.
We are asking you to make your reservations early and include a $35 non-refundable deposit. We would like the deposit by June 1st. Please send it to Donna Anderson, 109 West Center, Providence, UT 84332. We are charged $250 every 24 hours we are there. We want you to know that a good time will be had by all. Lots of good plans have been made for our enjoyment.
We are asking those who have talents to show to bring their art work, embroidery items, crocheting, quilts- anything that take talent to create. We will have a table set up for display Friday night.
We will enter Camp Atoka 2 p.m. on Aug. 22nd and are finished there at noon on Aug. 24th!!!
Sleeping arrangements are the same as last year. You will furnish your own bedding. Some bring air mattresses to sleep on the carpeted floor upstairs. There is lots of room for everyone. We have access to an upstairs bathroom. (LeGrande claims it for the men BUT there are more women that men --) However, there are restrooms on both floors and showers. We have access to parking for RVs and plenty of tent room. They are situated close to the camp
There is plenty of room for Volley Ball, Horseshoes, Baseball or whatever else is desired. Bottle Launchers were fun!
A river flows in front of the Camp and sounds so great! The Camp has a large porch at its front and will be just wonderful to serve all our meals outside to enjoy the beautiful scenery and atmosphere. The porch also has lights for night, a large fireplace to roast wieners and marshmallows! Play games or whatever our hearts desire!
The kitchen area is ideal. Six sinks! Stoves that work Counter room and lots of cupboard room to store our groceries in. We, who have been there, think everything is just GREAT!!!
Mountain climbing for those who are young at heart. Being alone as a group is just the best in the world. Come and have a great time at our Halloween Party this year!!! A good time is brewing for each of us.
Bedding, towels, wash cloth, soap and all the personal items you need and want.
